About

Heera Kim is pioneering the next generation of soft robotics, with a focused mission to translate these technologies from biomimetic demonstrations into real-world biomedical solutions. Her research centers on the design and fabrication of miniature, wirelessly controlled soft actuators and robots. A key contribution is her work on multistimulus-responsive soft actuators that feature programmable shape-morphing, enabling complex, nature-inspired movements for applications in biomimetics and targeted biomedical interventions. Her most cited paper (2024, 30 citations) establishes this foundational design principle.
