About
Dr. Dapeng Cui is a leading figure in the development of advanced flexible electronics and wearable sensor technologies. His research centers on the design and synthesis of multifunctional hydrogels, with a particular focus on creating solution-processable, biocompatible materials for next-generation human-machine interfaces. Dr. Cui’s most impactful contribution is the development of conductive composite hydrogels (CCHs) featuring multiple synergetic networks. His seminal 2021 work, which has garnered over 107 citations, introduced a robust, flexible CCH fabricated through an all-solution-based approach. By rationally polymerizing aniline monomers within a polyvinyl alcohol matrix, he achieved a material that combines high conductivity, mechanical resilience, and biocompatibility—a critical breakthrough for wearable pressure and strain sensors. This work has laid a foundation for durable, skin-friendly devices capable of real-time physiological monitoring. Dr. Cui’s innovative materials science approach continues to inspire new directions in soft robotics and personalized healthcare, establishing him as a key innovator in the field of flexible electronics.
