Chaowei Wang is a pioneering researcher at the intersection of soft robotics, laser micro/nano fabrication, and smart surface engineering. His work focuses on developing bioinspired actuators and sensors with unprecedented control and sensitivity. Wang’s major contributions include the invention of a portable triboelectric electrostatic tweezer (TET) for external droplet manipulation within closed superhydrophobic systems—a breakthrough for confined-space applications in lab-on-a-chip and biomedical devices.
