Asha Thomas is a versatile researcher whose work spans two distinct yet increasingly intersecting domains: urological surgery and human resource management in the digital age. In the medical sphere, Thomas made a notable contribution to minimally invasive surgery through pioneering work on robotic-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, introducing innovative techniques — "in situ mapping" and "sequential occlusion angiography" — that leverage contrast-enhanced ultrasound to enable more precise, selective ischaemia during kidney-sparing procedures.
