About
Yanan Ma is a materials scientist and bioelectronics researcher whose work sits at the intersection of flexible sensing technologies, wearable electronics, and human-machine interaction. Ma has made significant contributions to the development of next-generation pressure sensors, most notably through pioneering the use of MXene-based materials — particularly Ti₃C₂Tₓ — in piezoresistive sensing applications. Their 2020 landmark study on bioinspired microspine architectures for MXene-based pressure sensors has amassed over 517 citations, establishing Ma as a leading voice in high-sensitivity, scalable wearable sensor fabrication. A follow-up study exploring wrinkle-structured MXene composites further cemented this reputation with 111 citations.
