Barbara Previtali is a leading figure in laser-based advanced manufacturing, whose work bridges the critical gap between fundamental process understanding and industrial-scale robotic automation. Her research primarily focuses on laser metal deposition (LMD) for additive manufacturing and high-precision laser welding, with a strong emphasis on real-time process monitoring and control.
