Adrian M. Loftus is an atmospheric scientist whose research focuses on the characterization of aerosols and their radiative effects, with a particular emphasis on biomass burning events in Southeast Asia. His work integrates in-situ observations with remote sensing techniques to improve our understanding of aerosol loading and its environmental impacts. Loftus made significant contributions through his leadership in the 7-SEAS/BASELInE 2015 field campaign at Doi Ang Khang, Thailand, where he deployed a comprehensive suite of instrumentation to characterize smoke aerosols transported from Myanmar.
