About

Zhe Ji is an emerging remote sensing scientist specializing in satellite-based aerosol retrieval, atmospheric optics, and polarimetric remote sensing. His research focuses on developing and refining algorithms to retrieve aerosol properties—including Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) and Fine Mode Fraction (FMF)—from spaceborne polarimetric instruments over both land and ocean surfaces. Ji has made notable contributions through his work on China's cutting-edge satellite instruments, particularly the Particulate Observing Scanning Polarimeter (POSP) and the second-generation Directional Polarization Camera (DPC-2) aboard the GF-5(02) satellite.
