Zahra Komeily‐Nia is a materials scientist whose research lies at the intersection of electroactive polymers, carbon-based nanomaterials, and advanced manufacturing. Her work focuses on developing smart, responsive composite materials with applications in soft robotics and flexible electronics. In a highly cited 2017 study, she introduced an electroactive polymer composite reinforced with tubular micro carbonized-cellulose, achieving significantly enhanced bending strength—a critical advance for durable actuator performance.
