About
Yidan Si is an atmospheric remote sensing scientist whose research focuses on the retrieval, validation, and inter-comparison of aerosol optical properties from multiple satellite platforms, with a particular emphasis on China and global applications. Si’s major contributions include evaluating and improving satellite aerosol products—such as those from MISR, MODIS, Fengyun-3 MERSI, and Himawari-8—against ground-based AERONET observations, and developing advanced retrieval algorithms that better characterize aerosol components, size, and absorption.
