About
Xuemeng Xia is at the forefront of soft robotics and intelligent materials, pioneering the integration of smart hydrogels and ionogels for next-generation bionic systems. Her landmark 2024 work on 4D-printed bionic soft robots, inspired by starfish morphology, achieved a remarkable fusion of three-dimensional printing with near-infrared-responsive reduced graphene oxide-poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) hydrogels. This innovation, which has already garnered 38 citations, demonstrates superior mechanical properties and rapid actuation, opening new pathways for untethered, stimuli-responsive soft machines.
