About

William D. Nothwang is a leading researcher at the intersection of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), autonomous robotics, and multi-sensor fusion. His foundational work includes a highly cited review on PZT-based piezoelectric MEMS technology (224 citations), which advanced the design and fabrication of thin-film devices for high-performance sensors and actuators. Nothwang’s more recent contributions focus on enabling robust autonomy under severe size, weight, and power (SWaP) constraints.
