About
Wenchao Xia is a researcher advancing the frontiers of ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC) and intelligent robotics for industrial automation. His work directly addresses the critical communication needs of future smart factories, where central controllers must coordinate with actuators like robots under stringent latency and reliability constraints. In his highly cited 2022 paper on power allocation of superimposed pilots for short-packet transmission in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Xia developed innovative solutions to enable robust uplink communication in challenging industrial environments.
