Dr. Tobias Wilken is a pioneering researcher at the intersection of robotics, laser surgery, and biomedical engineering, with a primary focus on developing and translating robot-guided laser osteotomy systems for craniomaxillofacial surgery. His most significant contribution is the clinical translation of the Cold Ablation Robot-Guided Laser Osteotome (CARLO®), a compact device that uses a cold ablation laser to perform precise bone cuts without thermal damage.
