Takafumi Haji is a robotics researcher whose work centers on mobile robotic systems for search-and-rescue operations and educational robotics. He is best known for pioneering the Flexible Mono-Tread Mobile Track (FMT), an innovative locomotion mechanism that replaces conventional multi-segment serpentine designs with a single continuous track supported by a spine-like vertebrae structure.
