About
Souheil Hallit is a leading researcher in psychometrics, public health, and the psychological impact of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence. His major contributions center on developing and validating Arabic-language assessment tools to measure AI literacy, fear of autonomous systems, and related psychological constructs. Notably, Hallit led the multinational validation of the Arabic version of the Artificial Intelligence Literacy Scale (AILS) among university students across four Arab countries—Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and others—addressing a critical gap in cross-cultural measurement. This work, which has garnered 14 citations since 2024, provides a foundational instrument for educators and policymakers. He also validated the Arabic translation of the Fear of Autonomous Robots and Artificial Intelligence (FARAI) scale and explored the mediating role of dark future perceptions between personality traits and AI-related fears in Arab young adults.
