About
Diana Malaeb is a leading researcher in the psychological and psychometric dimensions of emerging technologies, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence (AI) literacy and human-machine interaction. Her work bridges cross-cultural psychology and digital innovation, addressing how individuals in Arab populations perceive, fear, and interact with AI and autonomous systems. Malaeb’s most impactful contribution is the multinational validation of the Arabic version of the Artificial Intelligence Literacy Scale (AILS), a pioneering tool that fills a critical gap in assessing AI literacy among university students across four Arab countries (14 citations). This work has enabled culturally sensitive measurement of AI competencies, with direct implications for education and policy.
