Shuhei Furukawa is a pioneering figure at the intersection of reticular chemistry and micro-robotics, best known for his groundbreaking work on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and their integration into biomedical microrobots. His research focuses on designing functional porous materials and translating their unique properties—such as high surface area, tunable porosity, and stimuli-responsiveness—into dynamic, motile systems.
