Mahta Khoshnam is a multidisciplinary robotics researcher whose work spans medical robotics, human-robot collaboration, and rehabilitation engineering. She is perhaps best known for her comprehensive two-part survey on visual servoing in medical robotics (2013–2014), which together have accumulated over 100 citations and remain foundational references for researchers working at the intersection of intraoperative imaging and autonomous surgical control.
