About
Dr. Lijun You is a materials scientist whose research centers on the design and development of advanced conductive hydrogels for next-generation wearable electronics and flexible biosensors. Her work directly confronts the critical limitations of conventional hydrogels—namely, poor breathability, insufficient adhesion, and inadequate water retention—by engineering novel porous and composite structures. Her most impactful contribution is the development of a flexible porous Gelatin/Polypyrrole/Reduction graphene oxide organohydrogel (2022), which has garnered 61 citations for its promise in wearable electronics. She has further advanced the field through innovative fabrication techniques, including emulsion template methods (2023) and microbial foaming (2023) to create stretchable, breathable, and even low-temperature tolerant strain sensors. Her recent work (2025) continues to push boundaries by introducing cross-linked dual network structures in sodium alginate and polyacrylamide hydrogels, achieving high performance with improved breathability and adhesion. With a growing body of work that consistently addresses real-world application challenges, Dr. You is establishing herself as a key innovator in the quest for practical, high-performance wearable sensor materials.
