About

L. Nakazono is a key contributor to the Southern Photometric Local Universe Survey (S-PLUS), a major imaging project mapping approximately 9,300 square degrees of the southern sky using a unique set of 12 optical filters—seven narrow and five broadbands. Nakazono’s most cited work, the 2019 S-PLUS overview paper (197 citations), established the survey’s foundation by demonstrating how its multi-filter system enables improved spectral energy distributions, morphologies, and photometric redshifts for millions of galaxies and stars.
