Jingxia Zheng is an emerging materials scientist whose research sits at the intersection of biomimetic engineering, smart materials, and flexible electronics. Drawing inspiration from the intricate architecture of natural biological tissues — including muscles, ligaments, and nerves — Zheng has pioneered the development of anisotropic composite hydrogels that replicate the directional properties found in living systems.
