Dr. Hiroto Fujita is a leading figure in domestic service robotics, best known for his foundational work with the Hibikino-Musashi@Home team. Based at the Kitakyushu Science and Research Park in Japan, his research centers on developing robust, real-world robotic systems for human environments, with a particular focus on autonomous navigation, object manipulation, and human-robot interaction. Fujita’s most significant contribution is the sustained leadership and technical development of the Hibikino-Musashi@Home team, which he founded in 2010. His team’s annual participation in the RoboCup@Home Japan Open Competition (open-platform league) has produced a steady stream of innovations, documented in their team description papers, which have collectively garnered over 15 citations.
