Gavin Rowell is a leading astrophysicist whose research focuses on gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), very high-energy (VHE) gamma-ray astronomy, and the optical afterglows of cosmic explosions. His major contributions include pioneering early-time optical observations of GRB afterglows using the ROTSE-III robotic telescope network, which he helped develop and deploy globally.
