About
E. S. Rykoff is a prominent observational astronomer whose research has centered on time-domain astronomy, robotic telescope systems, and the physics of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs). A key contributor to the Robotic Optical Transient Search Experiment (ROTSE) program, Rykoff helped develop and deploy the ROTSE-III network — a globally distributed array of autonomous telescopes engineered to capture rapid optical follow-up of GRB events.
