About

Cuiling Li’s research bridges the critical intersection of precision robotics and life-saving neurosurgery. Her work is primarily rooted in two transformative areas: the kinematic reliability of low-mobility parallel mechanisms and robot-assisted surgical interventions for severe brainstem hemorrhage. In her highly cited 2021 study, Li pioneered the use of a response surface method for sensitivity analysis of parallel mechanisms, directly addressing the challenge of kinematic accuracy—a vital performance metric for industrial robots. This contribution provides a robust framework for predicting and enhancing the reliability of these complex systems. More recently, Li has applied robotic precision to one of medicine’s most daunting challenges: severe brainstem hemorrhage. Her 2025 clinical study, comparing robot-assisted puncture with conservative treatment across 138 cases, offers compelling evidence for improved patient outcomes. This work highlights her ability to translate mechanical engineering principles into tangible surgical solutions, positioning her at the forefront of a rapidly evolving field. With her research accumulating citations and demonstrating real-world clinical impact, Cuiling Li is a notable figure advancing both theoretical mechanism design and practical, life-saving robotic surgery.
