About
Chi-Shi Chen is a leading researcher in energy-efficient, real-time embedded systems for autonomous robotics and edge-AI vision. Their work centers on the co-design of specialized hardware accelerators and system-on-chip (SoC) architectures that enable intelligent machines to operate with extreme power efficiency. Chen’s most impactful contribution is the development of a 28nm motion-control SoC for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), which integrates perception, planning, and actuation into a single 142mW chip—a breakthrough that has garnered 10 citations and is foundational for smart-factory and disaster-rescue applications.
