Carmen Guirado-Fuentes is a prominent atmospheric scientist whose research focuses on aerosol characterization, aerosol optical depth (AOD) measurement, and the development and validation of radiometric instrumentation. Working primarily within the AERONET framework and at key observatories including the high-mountain Izaña Atmospheric Observatory in Tenerife and the Saharan site of Tamanrasset, she has made significant contributions to our understanding of aerosol properties across climatologically important regions.
