About

Bang-Jing Li is a pioneering materials scientist whose research focuses on bioinspired hydrogels, self-healing elastomers, and advanced polymer integration. In their landmark 2018 study, Li introduced a leech-inspired strategy to create homogeneous hydrogel–elastomer integration materials, achieving seamless bonding between these traditionally incompatible polymers via free radical polymerization using 2-methoxyethyl acrylate and vinyl-functionalized Pluronics cross-linkers.
