About
Aniruddha Gokhale is a leading researcher in distributed real-time and embedded (DRE) systems, model-driven engineering, and next-generation networked applications. His seminal work on model-driven middleware established a new paradigm for developing and provisioning complex DRE systems, addressing critical challenges in domains like avionics, telecommunications, and defense. This foundational contribution, with over 53 citations, has shaped how developers build reliable, high-performance distributed systems. More recently, Gokhale has been at the forefront of 5G and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) research, tackling the demanding requirements of Industry 4.0. His innovative work on software-defined 5G network slice management enables fine-grained Quality of Service (QoS) and communication determinism for real-time industrial automation. He has also pioneered the integration of digital twins with 5G+ networks, optimizing resource allocation for multi-task IIoT applications in smart factories. With a career spanning foundational middleware to cutting-edge wireless networking, Gokhale’s research continues to bridge the gap between theoretical models and practical, high-impact industrial solutions.
