Adrian Podoleanu is a pioneering figure in biomedical optics, best known for his transformative contributions to optical coherence tomography (OCT) and multimodal endoscopic imaging. His research centers on developing advanced, high-resolution imaging systems that bridge the gap between macroscopic surgical guidance and microscopic tissue diagnosis. A hallmark of his work is the integration of en-face OCT with fluorescence endomicroscopy (FEM), enabling simultaneous, real-time visualization of tissue structure and function.
