About
Ting-Chih Lin is a rising leader in advanced soft materials, with research centered on liquid-metal embedded elastomers (LMEEs) and structurally tailored macromolecular networks. Her most cited work, a 2023 study on thermo-mechanically stable LMEEs for high-temperature applications (23 citations), demonstrates how liquid metal fillers can dramatically enhance the toughness, dielectric constant, and thermal conductivity of soft materials—enabling their use in extreme environments like soft robotics and stretchable electronics. This work addresses a critical bottleneck: the thermal instability of conventional soft composites.
