Satoru Shirata is a pioneering roboticist whose work has fundamentally advanced the design of lightweight, human-sized bipedal humanoid robots. His primary research focuses on mechanical design innovation, gravity compensation, and human-robot interaction, with a particular emphasis on creating accessible research platforms.
