Abstract
This paper presents the development of an IOT-based robotic system that sanitizes hospital rooms. This robot consists of a microprocessor that is connected to other devices and sensors in order to ensure safety and efficient sanitization process. The proposed system uses two types of sanitizations which are chemical disinfectant and ultra-violet light. A mobile application has been created and connected to the proposed system in order to be used in controlling the sanitization process without human interaction. A camera which is planted on the robot has been used for human detection to ensure that the room is empty before starting the sanitization process.
