Abstract
A robotic neuro-rehabilitation arm was developed for disabled upper limbs. The robot is made of two linkages which simulate the structure of the human upper limb. The big arm and the small arm of the robot are driven by two servo motors that enable movements in a plane. The robotic system has different training modes for different levels of impairment. Results from 30 patients in a clinical trial for a month show that the patients can effectively use the prosthesis to improve upper limb movements without any bad effect.
