Abstract
AGV is wheeled mobile robot that is used to convey materials in FMS.It's essential to know AGV location in FMS for conveying the material from one place to another exactly.Through analyzing the existing positioning methods and precision for mobile robot,a new positioning method for AGV,which is done by the two analog ultrasonic sensors fixed on the side of AGV,is proposed.The new method is feasible through theory analyzing and reliable by experiment.The positioning precision for AGV in FMS is satisfied from the result of experiment by this position method.
