Abstract

This paper designs and manufactures an intelligent wheeled robot with autonomous walking and obstacle avoidance functions. The obstacle avoidance of robot is realized by fuzzy control technology. In order to avoid obstacles quickly and accurately, the difference between left and right distance is calculated as a new input, which can reduce the input parameters and the complexity of fuzzy control design. Simulation and experimental results show that the obstacle avoidance path based on fuzzy control is smoother than that based on intuitive control.
