Abstract
For high-power applications like the robot or the electrical vehicles (EVs), a reconfiguration of the battery cells can increase the using time and the lifetime of the battery pack. A circuit for Li-ion battery reconfiguration considering the state of charge (SOC) is proposed. Proposed circuit consists of the switch arrays for reconfiguration and the active balancing circuit for equalizing the battery SOC. Reconfiguration of 4-series 4-parallel connected battery pack was tested in dynamic test conditions.
