Overview

For 2F-140 is a custom tactile gripper fingertip integration featuring XELA's uSkin sensor technology. Equipped with 48 tri-axial tactile sensors (2 modules, 24 per fingertip), it delivers 0.1 gram-force resolution for precise force and slip detection. The soft, compliant design protects fragile objects while maintaining durability with exchangeable sleeves.

Key features

  • 48 tri-axial tactile sensors (24 per fingertip module)
  • Ultra-high resolution: 0.1 gram-force sensitivity
  • Compact sensing points (4×4 mm), 4–6.6 mm thin profile
  • 3-axis force measurement: shear (X,Y) and normal (Z) forces
  • 6-axis torque sensing when contact across 3+ points
  • Soft, compliant skin handles fragile objects without damage
  • Fast 500 Hz sampling rate with minimal wiring (CAN daisy-chain)
  • Temperature and magnetic field compensation
  • Exchangeable sensor sleeve for durability
  • Calibrated to Newton; optional individual calibration
