摘要

In hazardous or critical situations, society needs stable robotic solutions. Traditional models frequently struggle because of their limited mobility and stability, which could hinder quick and effective interventions. Distinctive designs are required to improve performance and safety to overcome these environmental barriers. This research presents the design and development of an eight-legged spider robot that performs motion based on the Theo Jansen (TJ) mechanism. TJ’s mechanism is a user-friendly and efficient approach for locomotion, which is applied to create adaptable robots for uneven terrain. The study examines the original design, body structure, engine selection, design challenges, control system choices, and manufacturing techniques. Development and design parameters of an eight-legged robot optimized for smooth locomotion are critical. The efficacy of these robots is scrutinized, highlighting the transformative potential of Jansen’s mechanisms in advancing mobility solutions. Future research explores the broader implications of using such robots.
