摘要

Bangladesh, for it's centralized administrative structure has witnessed an alarming rate of migration of masses from rural to the urban areas. Throughout the last two decades, the population of Dhaka got doubled. As a result, scarcity of facilities and mismanagement are causing different types of urban accidents in high frequency. Trapped in manholes, burnt for the explosion of gas cylinders or lines, dead bodies under the collapsed buildings are striking the pages of newspapers and the TV screens again and again. For completely manual rescue and aiding, the response after these accidents gets less effective. Therefore, in this work an intelligent robotic unit has been proposed to be used at the field level rescuing and aiding. As experiment, such a prototyped model was built where we also implemented our own approach(algorithm) in obstacle avoiding. To be widely used in Bangladeshi cities, this has to be cost effective and also in the context of Bangladesh use of robots in disaster response phase is quite new. So, we have tried to keep the set of features very simple but effective enough.
