摘要

The preliminary research into how quantified human emotions can be read by a camera and integrated into the systems of machines/robots was conducted to improve their entertainment value. Generally, this degree of value and the success of the events which use such machines are evaluated by the number of attendees, the repeating rate of customers, the result of questionnaires, and so on. However, it takes a long time to gather, analyze and use this data to improve machines and events. If a camera can obtain facial data instantly, this new technology can be used together with more traditional methods to provide better design schemes for the entertainment industries. As the preliminary research, a portable bubble ejection robot was fabricated as a communication system for children. The robot produces soap bubbles like a fountain. The ejected soap bubbles are illuminated by LEDs. The direction of the ejection nozzle and the amount of the ejected bubbles are controlled by using an Android tablet. This paper will explain the design of the bubble robot, and the children's reaction to it at amusement events.
