About

Zuoxiu Tie is a leading figure in the development of advanced flexible electronics and nanomaterials. Her research focuses on creating high-performance, wearable sensors and electronic skins (E-skins) for real-time health monitoring and human-machine interfaces. In her landmark 2017 work, she introduced a novel class of multifunctional E-skins based on aligned few-walled carbon nanotubes (AFWCNTs) embedded in flexible polymer composites.
