Zhuomin Zhou is a rising leader in construction robotics and automation, whose work is reshaping how buildings are designed and assembled. His research centers on robotic collaborative systems, autonomous construction vehicles, and physics-informed machine learning for heavy machinery. In his highly cited 2023 paper, Zhou introduced the concept of “Design for Robotic Construction” (DfRC) and developed a robotic collaborative system for building reciprocal frame structures—demonstrating how robots can work together to erect load-carrying frameworks with unprecedented precision and efficiency.
