About

Yulei Qiu is an astronomer whose work spans supernova surveys, ultraviolet astronomy, gamma-ray bursts, and robotic systems. A key contribution is his role in the *Hubble Space Telescope* Snapshot Survey of nearby supernovae (2002, 58 citations), which provided critical late-time photometry of 12 supernovae, linking space-based and ground-based observations to study their long-term evolution. He also led the photometric calibration of the Lunar-based Ultraviolet Telescope (LUT, 2015, 15 citations), the first robotic telescope to operate on the lunar surface, enabling precise near-ultraviolet measurements during its first six months.
