Yuedan Wang is a materials scientist whose research focuses on the design and synthesis of advanced polymer elastomers for next-generation wearable electronics and soft robotics. Her work bridges the gap between mechanical robustness and functional adaptability, particularly through the development of stretchable, breathable, and thermoregulatory electronic skins. In her highly cited 2019 study (48 citations), Wang introduced a novel electronic skin based on a polyolefin elastomer nanofiber membrane, achieving an unprecedented combination of high stretchability, breathability, and temperature regulation—a critical advance for long-term wearable health monitors.
