About

Yidan Lyu is a pioneering researcher at the intersection of soft robotics and pharmaceutical engineering, whose work is redefining oral drug delivery systems. Her primary research focuses on developing intelligent, robot-enabled platforms that can reside in the gastrointestinal tract for controlled and responsive drug release. Lyu’s major contributions include the creation of a gastric retentive robotic capsule designed for emergency-prepared oral drug delivery, a breakthrough that addresses the critical gap in medical readiness by enabling long-term, internalized drug storage with rapid on-demand activation.
