About
Yajuan Su is a rising leader in soft bioelectronics and multifunctional materials, whose work bridges materials science, flexible electronics, and biomedical engineering. Her research focuses on developing novel soft conductors and fabrication strategies for skin-interfaced devices, soft robotics, and antimicrobial applications. Su’s most impactful contribution is the creation of porous liquid metal–elastomer composites that achieve high leakage resistance and antimicrobial properties—a critical advance for safe, stretchable bioelectronics (131 citations). She also pioneered a laser-scribing method to pattern conductive, photoactive transition metal oxides directly onto ultrasoft elastomers, enabling Janus on-skin electronics and soft actuators (57 citations). This work overcomes a fundamental challenge in laser-assisted fabrication, opening new pathways for customizable, tissue-like wearable devices.
