About

Wadea Ameen is a robotics researcher whose work focuses on autonomous navigation, sensor fusion, and intelligent control systems for mobile robots in constrained and real-world environments. His key contributions lie in developing practical, real-time solutions for autonomous road navigation, including a novel roundabout detection and navigation system that integrates laser simulator–fuzzy logic algorithms with sensor fusion, enabling wheeled mobile robots to navigate road environments autonomously. He also introduced a pioneering autonomous robotics platform for road marks painting, recognized as the first system of its kind. In addition, Ameen proposed a novel inertia moment estimation algorithm combined with Active Force Control, enhancing robot stability and control in constrained settings. His most cited paper (24 citations) demonstrates significant impact in the field of smart vehicles and cities. Through these innovations, Ameen has advanced the integration of fuzzy logic, sensor fusion, and autonomous control, contributing to safer and more efficient autonomous transportation systems.
