About
Ting Wu is an emerging researcher at the forefront of advanced materials science and flexible electronics, with a particular focus on conductive hydrogels, MXene-based composites, and electrohydrodynamic (EHD) printing technologies. Wu's work centers on engineering next-generation smart materials that bridge the gap between high-performance sensing and soft robotics applications. A standout contribution is the development of a high-performance, frost-resistant MXene co-ionic liquid conductive hydrogel fabricated via electrohydrodynamic printing, which has rapidly garnered 65 citations since its 2024 publication — a remarkable testament to its impact within the flexible strain sensor community. This work demonstrated exceptional environmental resilience alongside outstanding electromechanical performance, opening new pathways for wearable and low-temperature sensing applications. Building on this foundation, Wu's more recent 2025 research introduced a dual-anionic hydrogel soft actuator leveraging enhanced ionic synergy, further expanding the potential of EHD-printed materials in soft robotics. Together, these contributions position Wu as an innovative voice in printed functional materials, with research that holds significant promise for advances in human motion monitoring, bioelectronics, and adaptive robotic systems.
